 Hall Communications, Inc stations in New London/Norwich/Willimantic are serching for a Promotions Manager.

Promotions Manager WICH/WCTY/WKNL/WICH/WILI AM-FM.  The Promotions Manager coordinates and executes station promotional activities for the programming and sales departments.


*Write and schedule promos for on air. *Schedule promos with program directors and/or traffic department.  *Prepare contest recap for advertisers, send air checks to clients.  *Prepare e-mail and studio fact sheets for air talent with details of upcoming on-air contests and promotions and prepare prizes for remotes.  *Enter winners' names for major prizes into vPromotion for 1099 tax information.  *Welcome, congratulate and photograph winners of medium/large prizes.

Web Site

*Coordinate and maintain all aspects of web site contesting including form design, social media, e-mail confoprmation, selection of winner and winner's prize fulfillment.  Make sure concert information and calendar of events are up to date on web pages.  *Maintain all aspects of e-blast, e-mail database, including entering new members , modify and deleting existing entries.  *Utilize e-mail to contact members with periodic e-mails.  Write and send Newsletter to members.  Resolve e-mail bounce backs.


*Maintain supplies in station van (prizes-banners,  forms) and coordinate promotional assistants and air talent for remotes.  Provide van drives and air talent with client information and directions to remotes.  Contact client prior to remote.  *Making sure we have promotional photographs documenting our onsite presense at all outside events.


*Write and schedule promos for station contests,, station remotes, music specials and charity/public service events.  *Write articles and collect material for Hall Communicator company newsletter (This duty is overseen my Station Manager).  *Respond to all e-mails sent to station.  Make sure listener comments with reply are saved to public file.  Direct specific e-mails to proper person (This duty is overseen by Program Directors).  *Respond to requests for promotions proposals from national clients in coordination with General Manager.  Prepare proposals including contest dates and value.  Attend client meetings with reps as requested by Sales Manager.  *Develop NTR opportunities with General Manager and present to sales staff.  *Attend all sales meetings, promotional meetings and department head meetings.  *Write and present promotional proposals and summaries.  Develop sales materials with sales Manager.  *Assist in production as needed. (voice over...etc.).  *Develop a connection with local colleges for internship opportunities.  *Attend and execute promotional aspects of all major station events.

Hall Communications, Inc. stations in New London/Norwich/Willimantic are serching for a Regional Sales Manager.


Regional Sales Manager will work with the General Manager to:

*Work with management on creating and communicating a sales and marketing strategy that will take the station on-air and on-line to the next level.  *Provide strategic input to setting sales targets for Local Sales.  Have the ability to develop reports to support the strategy.  *Personally, hamdle local and regional account list.  *Drive expected revenue performance as well as create new ideas and 'outside the box' revenue streams and business models to monetize these revenue streams.  *Clearly communicate performance expectations and establish and maintain a motivated sales staff. Ensure that employees work and sell with integrity and uphold the Hall Communications sales standards.  *Work cooperatively and in partnership with the other station departments such as Programming, Promotions, and Traffic to ensure growth in revenue and increaced profitability theough station avenues.  *Oversee the planning and execution of sales meetings, attend community and goodwill events and represent the station at trade association meetings and professional organization events.  *Deliver presentations as required internally and externally, maintain sales relationships, help negotiate and close deals when needed.  *Recruit, hire and retain sales talent to build future pipeline.  Coach and mentor Account Executives to identify and communicate areas of strength and needed improvment.


*5 Years of prior experience in media sales preferred.  *Experience managing a sales team, including experience in strategic planning and direct responsibility for growing revenue in the radio industry.


*Must be willing to submit to a background check.  *Must have reliable transportation and a valad driver's license.  *Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.


*Knowledge of Eastern Connecticut.  *Must possess a 'want -to-win' attitude with a proven track record of Sales/Marketing achievements.  *Solid background in building and cultivating skills as well as superior project management skills.  *Knowledge of how ad agencies, marketing/promotion companies and direct clients operate.  *Experience with and an understanding of the digital/new media world.  *Through understanding of local businesses, business issues in Eastern Connecticut.  *A result-driven focus and a detail-oriented mindset are necessary.  *Proficient computer skills, including all Microsoft Office applications, as well as the ability to learn new software applications is important.
